The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) is a vibrant community of leaders, innovators and influencers: an independent enlightenment organisation dedicated to finding practical solutions to social challenges, with more than 30,000 Fellows in over 90 countries.
I have been a Fellow of the RSA since 2007 and a Life Fellow since 2015. I'm a former chairman of the North East England region and was a member of the Fellowship Council. In October 2016, I am excited and privileged to be an elected Trustee on the Board of the RSA and serve on the Board of the RSA US. Here are 10 things I love about the RSA:
2. Eclectic exciting and inventive people.
3. Influential, informed thought and leadership.
4. New thinking and practical projects.
5. An inspirational chain of beacons across the globe.
6. Multifaceted and rigorous research.
7. The creative RSA Animate and Shorts series.
8. Innovation and action that has a positive impact.
9. A powerful Fellowship dedicated to social improvement.
10. Connecting threads reaching in and out of communities.
